My handbag beauty essentials...

First of all let me just apologise for
1.) my lack of posts (and the fact I may not be able to blog in a week or so... damn you EXAMS!)
2.) and the state of my makeup in this photo (let's all ignore the dirty brushes, used powder and blunt pencil; yes, I'm an animal).

Just thought I would give you a quick peek at the bits I take with me to uni or pretty much whenever I leave the house...well, you never know who you're going to bump into do you?! (or which awkward ex-boyfriend encounter you're going to have to experience...we've all been there).

1. Mac Turquatic perfume
2. Benefit Browzings in Light
3. Dr Jart BB cream
4. Mac Creme Cup lipstick
5. Clarins Natural Lip perfecter in 04
6. Collection lasting perfection concealer
7. Rimmel black scandeleyes eyeliner
8. Urban Decay Naked flushed palette
9. Blistex Intensive lip moisturiser
10. Rimmel Stay Matte powder

If you have enjoyed this (or any) of my posts, I would love it if you could follow me on Bloglovin' here, and could also add me to your GFC reading list as I have encouraged most of you lovelies to follow me on Bloglovin', but GFC doesn't seem to be going anywhere and I have very few of you on there! Thanks :)

What do you guys have in your daily makeup bags?

Just thought I would also let you know that I am taking a quick break from blogging to focus on my remaining exams. I will be back in just over a week with lots of new regular beauty and outfit posts and a BIG layout change and re-design over the summer...can't WAIT!

LOVE AT FIRST SNIFF: Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess

Estée Lauder is having a moment. A serious moment, which has arguably come along with the introduction of their limited edition Bronze Goddess summer 2013 range. I have already spoken about their pure colour illuminating powder gelee (heat wave) in my haul post, but my new purchase wowed me even more than my first. Bronze Goddess skinscent is AMAZING. I know they do one of these every year, but I never paid it much attention. In fact, before this year, I had never really been drawn to the Estée Lauder stand that much, always opting for more 'fun' products from the likes of Mac and Benefit. But this collection has given me a new found respect for the brand, and this perfume has, I believe, started what I feel will be a long term love affair. As I have already said...
love at first sniff.

The coconut-y, vanilla-y, orange-y scent makes me so nostalgic for family holidays in Barbados and sun cream, beaches and tall, cool cocktails. It smells so exotic and lasts on the skin all day (something I consider important in perfumes...if I'm going to be paying the big bucks for a perfume, I expect it to LAST). It is so different from all my other perfumes, and I can see myself being loyal to it all summer long. The rest of the collection looks pretty exciting too, including a HUGE shimmery bronzer and a couple of pretty roll-on lip glosses. I don't think anything will live up to the Bronze Goddess perfume deliciousness however...it has set the bar super high. Seriously, do it. Shop the collection here

Have any of you guys tried anything from the Bronze Goddess range?

AN IMPULSE HAUL (all together now...whoooops)

OOPS. I did a little shopping. A little too much for my measly student budget!

First a stop in Space NK. The Bumble and Bumble Surf Foam wash shampoo and creme rinse conditioner has been on my list ever since I saw it on The Man Repeller's instagram early last month. I have used it twice and have so much love for it already. Even better, the lady in the store was SO super friendly and helpful, so it was a successful visit! Next up was a trip to the Estee Lauder stand. I pretty desperately wanted to get my mitts on the limited edition Gelee illuminating blush in Tease, but it has sold out everywhere. Instead I opted for the gorgeous pure colour illuminating powder gelee in heat wave (from their summer collection); a highlighter which has been raved about on the blogsphere, and for good reason.

Mac was also on the cards, and as an attempt to buy a dupe for my long awaited Show Orchid lipstick (soon to be mine after a very complicated and long hunt for the stuff, finally resulting in contacting some American friends to send it over to me) I snapped up the cult favourite Girl about town lipstick, which is a gorgeous fuchsia pink. I also picked up the Asian Flower sheen supreme lipstick, which I have completely fallen head over heels for. It is a delicious light purpley glossy shade. Finally, I was given the Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir travel candle as a present (it is my favourite Jo Malone scent- blog post to come soon!). I am yet to crack this open, the packaging is just too pretty!

Expect to see some reviews on some of these bits, or for them to pop up in my monthly favourites! What have you guys been buying lately?

If you would like to follow me on Bloglovin' you can HERE :) lots of love,

OOTD #9: My Mother's Shirt

This shirt is, as the title explains, my Mum's Gap shirt. I love its simplicity...a crisp blue shirt can do no wrong in my eyes. Paired with my leather skirt I think it creates an interesting outfit. I also love my new Zara shoes, they are so simple and chic and I have been wearing them with everything.

Shirt: Gap
Skirt: Topshop
Shoes: Zara
Necklaces: Vintage/H&M
Bracelets/Watch: Vintage, Topshop, Calvin Klein.

Hope you are all well and are enjoying the sunshine. If you haven't already, follow me on Bloglovin' here for more outfit and beauty posts :)

Just a quick note to say as well that I won't be posting as much as normal until my exams are over in June, but be sure to stop by for my (slightly more occasional) posts if you like anyway!

Lots of love,

B.
