Polo (and some exciting news!)

Polo: c/o Pop Couture
Skirt: Topshop (old)
Boots: Missguided
Clutch: Topshop

I've been after a plain black polo for ages now. I know it sounds like one of those things that would be pretty easy to get hold of, but I actually struggled to find one anywhere as they were pretty popular this season. So when Pop Couture contacted me and offered to send me one I was more than happy to accept :) Although it's plain, it's such a classic piece which is so versatile and wearable, plus allows you to pair it with a loud skirt or pair of shoes.

I am completely in love with these Missguided boots, which were totally inspired by the gorgeous Megan at Pages by Megan in her post 'Snakeskin Boots' . Her style is literally impeccable, the girl would look good in a bin bag!

I also have some exciting news! I have just officially arranged to travel from New York to LA this year for a month, with a week in New York beforehand. I am SO excited, and can't wait to continue my love affair with the big U.S of A! Three years ago during my gap year, I travelled some of the east coast and mid-west, including trips to Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley & Washington DC. Whilst being at Uni I have always dreamed of going back so I am so so happy I have the chance to go after I graduate!

Have you guys got any travel plans for this summer?

Roshe

Trench: Topshop
Top: Topshop
Trainers: Nike
Bag: c/o Pop Couture
Lipstick: Chanel L'impatiente

Heyyyy guys! So here's me trying to sport some trainers in an everyday outfit outside of the gym. It takes a lot for me to confess that as of yet I still haven't worn my Nike Roshe Run's to go running which is what I bought them for after an unfortunate slip last time I was out in my old battered trainers. They are just too pristine and pretty and SO DAMN COMFY! It's literally like you're walking on air (or like you're shoeless as one of my friends has said). So I have been wearing them pretty much everywhere apart from the gym. Ooops.

I am also seriously loving my checked Joni jeans which I had wanted for ages and finally bought a couple of weeks ago! And how cute is my 90s style Sabrina-the-teenage-witch-esque backpack which the lovely folk at Pop Couture sent me?! I've been carrying it with me everywhere and it's the perfect 'on campus' bag...it even fits in my macbook!

In other news the third year work is really piling on now; I have assignments, presentations and dissertation research coming out' my ears! I've been softening the blow with the occasional Asos order and lots of cups of (decaf) tea (I'm off caffeine pretty much for life!) So to all the third years out there...I feel you sisters.

The review: Mac stereo rose

It seems like Mac Stereo Rose Mineralize skinfinsh has been everywhere ever since it's initial launch just less than 10 years ago. It's been hyped up on nearly every major beauty blog from here to Timbuktu, and I can certainly see why. But here's the problem; it's one of those damn limited edition special hero products.

After being temporarily released in several collections in the past few years, it launched once more on Thursday within the Fantasy of Flowers collection. I was determined to pick it up this time around and not miss my window yet again. Did I need it? Nope. Did I want it? Ooooh yes. So I got up on Thursday morning, pounced on my computer and prepared to finally get my hands on the infamous Stereo Rose. Unfortunately I wasn't the only one; by 11am it had sold out. After finally picking it up from my local store, I can say I am definitely not disappointed. Used as a blush, this skinfinish is basically just stunning. With shimmer (not glitter or sparkle!) and a peachy pink tone, it really is the ultimate example of makeup porn. As I have pale skin, I'm careful not to use it too heavily as it can look a little overboard, but used lightly it's unbelievably gorgeous.

Although it's sold out online, my local store had a fair few so it's definitely worth checking around. Let's just hope (for all our sakes) Mac finally wakes up and makes this a part of their permanent collection!

Mom

Top: Topshop
Jeans: Topshop
Trench: Topshop
Bag: Zara
Shoes: Zara

I can't believe how long it's been since I last blogged and I am borderline totally ashamed. I have been completely slammed at uni (as per) as I'm in my final year so it's pretty tough going. I have a load of outfit posts coming your way though so stay tuned for those!

Today I wanted to show off my new Mom jeans which I am pretty excited about. I never thought I would be able to pull them off as I've always been a skinny-jean-kinda-gal. Despite not feeling quite as slick in them as I do in a good ripped-knee dark slim pair, I have nonetheless really been enjoying wearing the Mom's. Along with a lot of stuff I've been purchasing lately, they are perfect for comfy on-campus chic, whilst being easy to dress up at the end of the day with some simple black sandels and a cute cami (as seen here!!). I have also not gotten my lightweight black trench off my back this month; it's really helping me through the freezing cold-spring transitional period!
